HOT NEWS - Los Angeles police arrested a man after the explosion more than 50 arson, but refused to confirm the possible relationship to Canada.

Harry Burkhart, 24, was arrested Monday morning after a deputy sheriff saw driving a van that is similar to the topics searched after a series of 53 fires in Los Angeles, Hollywood and surrounding communities.

Authorities protected Burkhart, a resident of Hollywood, who said, in their view, a German citizen suspected of arson and he was in jail in Los Angeles.

"Our long term goal, four-day nightmare is over," said Zev Yaroslavsky and Los Angeles, the head at a press conference on Monday night.

"This is really a nightmare for the people in the western part of Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley and West Hollywood," Yaroslavsky said. "I live in this community, and I do not have a good night last week I was looking forward to tonight .."

Burkhart is expected that the accusations against him informed at a meeting on Wednesday.

Authorities refused to comment on reports that the Los Angeles Times Burkhart was involved in a dispute with the federal government on the immigration status of his mother.
